I thought both of them come together? glory without passion only happens in movie or fairy tales. I haven't meet any one with glory without putting in passion.
You have asked three questions and here's my take - 1. The glory! It overwhelms most. The (short term) pleasure of glory lures people. Passion could lead to glory, but usually with a lot of effort. 2. Yes. The addiction to glory could be called a passion. 3. Not usually. Not as long as the means(and the end) to glory is not inhumane.
@ Loong Yea, but a lot of times when glory becomes the focus, the actual passion would take a back seat. Developing (and a lot of times faking) newer passions just for the sake of glory is what I meant by "giving up passion" I think.
@ Aravind What do you think would be more fulfilling ? :) Sticking to one's passions irrespective of whether it would get them glory or strive to get glory ?
